Join us for BRD’s summer teen intensive! Throughout the week, dancers will develop and hone new skills, train with students from other schools, and learn material from BRD’s professional repertory. Students will take a variety of contemporary dance classes and daily workshops, taught by BRD company dancers and alumni. At the end of the week, students will present their work in a conclusive showing open to family and friends on Friday, August 9 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Presence Studio.

After a five year hiatus, BRD is excited to revive this highly anticipated intensive for Bellingham's community of young artists seeking more opportunities to DANCE this summer! Students will complete the intensive with a sense of community, tools for improvisation and composition, and exposure to a variety of styles and teachers made possible by BRD's collaborative nature.

Ages: 13-18

Schedule: August 5-9 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM*

Early Bird Tuition: $275 (if registered by May 15)

Established in 2005, Bellingham Repertory Dance has a long history fostering artistry and developing strong technique in Bellingham’s contemporary dance community. A previous participant of BRD’s youth programs expressed appreciation of their instructor’s ability to “help each dancer find their own way of connecting with the dance and movement.” Still others “loved learning how [they] could move in different ways,” and appreciated “the positive and motivated attitude from students and teachers.”
